Meet author Christine Ardigo!
Here on Long Island New York we’re getting ready for Memorial Day Weekend – the unofficial start of summer. Barbeques, beach volleyball, and pool parties breathe new life into our free time. The warmer weather also has us reaching for those summer reads. Besides experiencing new adventures, many of us will be losing ourselves inside the pages of what will become our new favorite book.
Who doesn’t wish we could spend the lazy days of summer reading while gently rocking in a swing? On a quilt under an old, weeping willow tree surrounded by wildflowers? An outside patio while sipping your favorite beverage? Or, near crashing waves on a warm, sandy beach?
It’s time to stop wishing. The time has come.
Today I bring you three unique reads with characters, subjects and locations rarely touched upon, but stories that everyone can relate to. Tales that will take you by surprise, make you think about your own situations, and wonder if you have everything in your life figured out. A perfect blend of love and pain, humor and drama, as we find that strong person inside us all.
Which story is yours?
Samantha is About to Jump Head First into a World She Can’t Control.
Frustrated with her uneventful life as a Registered Dietitian at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, and volunteer work that only lands her in trouble, twenty-four-year-old Samantha Hart is tired of being invisible despite her quirky nature, and decides a walk on the wild side might do her some good.
Intrigued by the scandalous lifestyle of her dynamic co-worker Cara, Samantha attempts to transform herself into Cara’s sinful image. But when she finds her new path meaningless and hollow, not to mention dangerous, she looks for someone with better judgment to steer her in the right direction and it’s someone she least expects. Can Samantha trust the newly hired employee in the Nutrition Department? A man who seems to hate everything about her. Or is he the only one that sees beneath her bad girl façade and can teach her to embrace who she really is?
The Bridges Before Us, teaches us to love ourselves, embrace who we are, and never change for the sake of pleasing others.
